My career as a cook began in 1989 working seasonally in privately owned chalets in the French Alps. My love of travel and insatiable appetite for good food has taken me around the world. In 1993 I joined the crew of the charter boat ‘Marguerite Explorer’ becoming head chef.
I moved to Suffolk in 1996 and worked at the Leaping Hare restaurant, Wyken Vineyards leaving in October 1997 to set up Karat.
Based in Newmarket, Suffolk, I have been running my business with the same ethics since i started, to provide a simple, friendly and efficient service to people for whatever occasion to take the worries away from customers so that they can enjoy the event they are hosting.
Having been interested in food from an early age, I am still excited by new ideas and styles of food and keen get customers involved with bespoke menu planning. I am happy to meet with you at the venue where the event is going to take place to discuss your requirements.
